Nurturing dreams at Adani’s community anganwadi | Mumbai News – Times of India
MUMBAI: “We are overjoyed to witness that numerous students who received their education at Aamchi Anganwadi have successfully secured admission to higher education institutions and are diligently pursuing their aspirations. We extend our heartfelt wishes for their ongoing success and fervently hope they achieve excellence in their endeavours,” expressed a staff member from Adani Electricity on Thursday.
Employed at Adani Dahanu Thermal Power Station (ADTPS) in Dahanu, he is among several dedicated employees who actively contribute to this Corporate Social Responsibility initiative through “Aamchi Anganwadi” project located at Kakar pada, Kosbad, in Dahanu, Palghar district.
Recognising the significance of early childhood education, the staff members inaugurated the project in June 2009 to establish a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 2 to 6 years. Today, it provides young minds with indispensable education, comprehensive healthcare, and optimal nourishment, a staff member elaborated.
The Adani Electricity employees transcend the realm of education, dedicating an additional 200 to 300 man-hours annually to ensure that students receive exceptional education, as well as nutritional support and infrastructure for seamless operation. Moreover, they generously contribute Rs. 75,000 per annum from their personal funds to support the uninterrupted functioning of ‘Aamchi Anganwadi.’
Elaborating on the vision of ‘Aamchi Anganwadi’, the staff working at Adani Dahanu Thermal Power Station said, “With an unwavering commitment to amplify the impact of this initiative, we are actively working towards transforming ‘Aamchi Anganwadi’ into a government-approved Anganwadi. This involves fulfilling all necessary requirements and collaborating closely with local authorities.”
