Mumbai: A 46-year-old nurse died after being hit by a tempo in a road crash at Malad on Saturday. Rehana Malpekar was walking down towards Malad railway station when the incident occurred. Malad Police have registered an FIR against the tempo driver, Aarif Shaikh. Rehana and her son, Zahir, 21, were employed at Riddhivinayak Hospital, Malad. Zahir works as a ward boy.Around 3.45 pm on Saturday, Rehana left the hospital after finishing her shift duty. She met her son before proceeding to walk down to the railway station. Later, another ward boy, Prashant Kamble, brought back an injured Rehana to the hospital in an auto. Kamble informed Zahir that he was walking near Sainath Shopping Centre when he witnessed a tempo ram into Rehana. Kamble had noted down the registration number of the tempo . tnn
