NTA issues notice on JEE Main Session 2 correction window: Key dates, editable fields, and important details here – The Times of India
National Testing Agency (NTA) has released a notice regarding the opening of the application correction window for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main Session 2. The official notification mentions that after receiving numerous requests from the candidates regarding correction in the online application form, the Agency has decided to provide them with an opportunity to correct or modify their applications. Aspirants will be able to correct their particulars in the examination form from February 27 to 28, 2025 up to 11:50 PM.
As per the official notification, candidates who have registered in JEE Main session 2 and as a fresh candidate and the aspirants who have applied in both sessions 1 and 2 can modify their applications.
JEE Main session 2 application correction: Particulars that can be edited
The official notification mentions the list of the details that can be corrected as provided here:
- Course (Paper)
- Medium of question paper
- State code of eligibility
- Examination cities as per the available options
- Educational qualification details (Class 10 and 12)
- Gender
- Category
- Fee payment (if applicable)
JEE Main session 2 application correction: Non-editable fields
Aspirants must note that the candidates who have registered for session 2 only during the period from February 2 to 25 will not be allowed to make changes to these fields:
- Mobile number
- E-mail address
- Address (Permanent and present)
- Emergency contact details
- Photograph of candidate
These candidates will be allowed to change any of the fields:
- Candidate name
- Father’s name
- Mother’s name
The candidates who have registered in session 2 of the exam will be able to add or change all the following details once the application correction window opens:
- Educational qualification details (Class 10 and 12)
- State code for eligibility
- Date of birth
- Gender
- Category
- Sub-category/ PwD
- Signature
- Paper
Furthermore, candidates can change their examination city selection and medium of examination based on their permanent and present addresses.
JEE session 2 application correction: Steps to modify
Candidates can follow the steps mentioned here to correct or edit the details of the JEE session-2 application form once the window opens:
- Visit the official website: Navigate to the JEE Main official website: jeemain.nta.nic.in.
- Access the correction window: Click on the link labeled “JEE Main 2025 session 2 application form correction.”
- Log in: Enter your application number and password to access your application form.
- Make necessary corrections: Review your application carefully and make the required changes. Ensure all information is accurate before submitting.
- Save and submit: After making the corrections, save the changes and submit the form.
- Print confirmation: Download and print the confirmation page for your records.
