Noted cancer surgeon Dr Majid Ahmed Talikoti made Honorary Health Commissioner by India-GCC Trade Council | Mumbai News – The Times of India

MUMBAI: The India-GCC (Gulf Corporation Council) Trade Council has made noted oncologist surgeon Dr Majid Ahmed Talikoti its “Honorary Health Commissioner”.
This honour was conferred on Dr Talikoti in a function in Delhi recently. He was presented with the appointment letter of “Honorary Health Commissioner” with all the rights, privileges, benefits and powers of the title.
Accepting this honour, Dr.Talikoti expressed his happiness and said: “This role is a significant step and I am eager to contribute to health initiatives that bridge India & Gulf Countries (United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman Kuwait and Qatar ) across borders, region, religion and build strong diplomatic ties and healthy nations.”
Dr Talikoti was recently declared one of the 100 most influential Indian Muslims by Muslim Mirror.
Close on the heels of being honoured with “one of 100 most influential Indian Muslims, last week’s honour of being made Honorary Health Commissioner by India-GCC Traders Council is yet another feather in his cap. Earlier, he received Healthcare Excellence Asian Arab Award 2025 in Dubai.
Dr. Talikoti is a renowned cancer surgeon and is a Chairman of a 600-bedded ‘Medicant Hospital’ in Bokaro, Jharkhand. This hospita served patients of the region at very affordable price.
