Not an inch of Dharavi will be given to Adani, says Shelar | Mumbai News – The Times of India

Mumbai: BJP minister Ashish Shelar on Friday told the legislative assembly that not a single inch of Dharavi will be given to Adani group.
Dharavi redevelopment is the only project in Mumbai that will provide houses to ineligible slum dwellers and not a single inch of Dharavi land has been given to Adani, Shelar clarified in the legislative assembly on behalf of govt.
“Out of the total 430 acres in Dharavi, 37% of the land will be available to Mumbaikars as playgrounds, entertainment grounds and other open spaces. It is extremely false and untrue that Dharavi land has been given to Adani. Don’t those who are claiming that the land in Dharavi was given to Adani know all this land in Dharavi is owned by a company set up by state govt called Dharavi Redevelopment Authority (DRP)? The company DRPPL will work as the contractor for the redevelopment.” — Chaitanya Marpakwar
