Not afraid of notices, BRS ex-ministers now in Congress should also be questioned: Eatala | Hyderabad News

Hyderabad: BJP MP Eatala Rajender on Wednesday said he has not received any formal notice from the Justice PC Ghose Commission and asserted that he is not afraid of such notices. He added that if and when a notice is served, he will respond appropriately.Speaking to TOI, Rajender wondered why former ministers from the BRS govt—now part of the Congress—like Tummala Nageswara Rao, Jupally Krishna Rao, and Kadiyam Srihari, have not been questioned by the commission.“Those who served as ministers during the previous BRS regime and are now in Congress should have informed chief minister A Revanth Reddy about former CM K Chandrasekhar Rao‘s decisions,” he said. Rajender also questioned the repeated extensions of the commission’s deadlines. “What are they trying to prove—whether it’s the failure of the project or allegations of corruption,” he sought to ask.He emphasised that everyone knew the project was entirely overseen by then CM KCR, who called it his ‘brainchild.’ Rajender added that no one else had any real role in the project’s execution. He said that several senior finance department officials from his tenure as finance minister continue to hold influential positions today.Reiterating that he has no fear of any notices, Rajender recalled his long-standing differences with KCR, which, he said, were well known to the people of Telangana. He also mentioned a cabinet sub-committee that functioned during the former BRS govt, which included himself, Tummala, Kadiyami, T Harish Rao, and A Indrakaran Reddy. According to Rajender, KCR had promised to brief the media about the decisions taken by the sub-committee but never did.Rajender argued that issuing him a notice would only end up embarrassing Revanth himself. He concluded by saying that several engineers and technical experts involved in the project have already stated they were merely following orders from the higher authorities.
