No question of paper leak from Hazaribag: Dist exam coordinator | Patna News – Times of India

Patna/Hazaribag: The Hazaribag coordinator of the five NEET-UG examination centres in the town, Ehshanul Hasan, on Tuesday denied charges of tampering the question papers or leak from the five centres.
Hasan, who is also the principal of Oasis School — one of the five examination centres which was charged with leaking the papers by the media — however, said a gang and the courier company, responsible for delivering the papers could be involved in the leak.
Talking to media persons here, Hasan said the questions papers for the May 5 examination was received for Hazaribag by the superintendents of the five examination centres — DAV Public School, St Xavier’s School, Holy Cross High School, Vivekananda Central School and Oasis School — at 1.15 pm in sealed and locked steel boxes from the State Bank of India branch where they was kept in its locker.
However, the boxes, which should have reached the locker of the SBI branch here on May 4 itself was lying with the courier’s office in the town overnight and were taken to the bank in e-rickshaws on May 5 only.
After the boxes, which have two digital locks each, reached the examination centres from the bank, they were opened automatically by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in front of the superintendents, assigned observers and 24 student examinee representatives before the start of the examination, he said.
The box for his examination centre, Oasis School, however did not open, Hasan promptly reported the matter to NTA, which advised him to open it with the hacksaw provided along with the box. When the box was opened, the questions papers were found sealed in seven layers of plastic. The plastic seals were found defective and Hasan said the question papers could have been opened beforehand.
Hasan also said matter of plastic being found defective could not have happened in Hazaribag at all because right after receiving the box to opening the box, the entire process was videographed and all students and observers had also put their signatures saying no manipulation was done before and after opening the box at the centre.
