No paper leak during BPSC headmaster eligibility exam in Muzaffarpur district | – Times of India

Patna: Aspirants at an examination centre in Muzaffarpur district started protesting on Friday during the BPSC headmaster eligibility exam, alleging a question paper leak. The protest caused a two-hour delay in the exam.
The incident occurred when candidates noticed a damaged packet while the question papers were being distributed, leading them to suspect that someone had torn the packet and stolen the paper. The invigilator promptly informed the centre superintendent, who then notified the control room. Parents waiting outside the exam centre also joined the agitation, suspecting a paper leak. As a result, the candidates refused to take the exam at the centre.
Upon receiving the information, Muzaffarpur DM Subrat Kumar Sen and SSP Rakesh Kumar, along with police forces from various stations, arrived at the spot to pacify the situation.
“The aspirants had misunderstood the situation. Multiple sets of question papers were kept in several packed envelopes inside a sealed box. The box was opened in front of the centre superintendent and other officials in a room, and the entire process was videographed. One of the envelopes was slightly damaged, possibly due to air pressure causing it to tear, which led to the rumour of a paper leak,” the DM said.
A three-member committee, including the Sadar SDO, SDPO, and ADM, was formed to investigate the matter. The committee submitted its report in the evening, suggesting that the incident did not appear to be a case of paper leak. The DM informed the chairman of BPSC about the incident and sent the committee report to the commission for further action.
