No flagship scheme will be closed, says Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis

MUMBAI: We are trying to present a very good and balanced budget in the budget session of the legislature. While maintaining financial discipline, we are taking care that capital expenditure is not affected.
While doing this, we will not close any flagship scheme , assured chief minister Devendra Fadnavis in a press conference today.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis , Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde , Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar addressed a press conference after a tea party organized on the eve of the budget session of the legislature.
Cabinet members Parliamentary Affairs Minister Chandrakant Patil , Water Resources Minister Girish Mahajan , Tourism Minister Shambhuraj Desai , Fisheries Minister Nitesh Rane , Other Backward Classes Welfare Minister Atul Save , Commerce and Protocol Minister Jayakumar Rawal , Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik , Tribal Development Minister Ashok Uike and others were present.
Chief Minister Shri. Fadnavis said that this is the first budget session of the new government and this session will be of four weeks. In this session, two important topics will be discussed.
On March 8, Women’s Day, there will be a special discussion on the occasion of the 300th birth centenary of Punyashloka Ahilyadevi Holkar. Also, on the occasion of the Amrit Mahotsav of the Indian Constitution, there will be a discussion on the Constitution for two days.
Five bills will be discussed in this session. A detailed and positive discussion will be held in the legislature on all the topics. We are trying to involve the new members of the legislature in the discussion.
Regarding the news of a stay on a file of the Health Department, Chief Minister Mr. Fadnavis said that no such file has come to me and I have not given a stay. In the matter related to the Health Department, 9 percent of the funds suggested to the Central Government were to be spent on capital expenditure.
However , the Central Government has suggested spending 5 percent of the funds on capital expenditure. Accordingly , the Ministers and Secretaries of the concerned departments have sought information to determine the priority after setting the order of priority.
Therefore, this file has not come to me. Also, the rates in Maharashtra for installing HSRP number plates on vehicles are lower than in other states. In other states, the price of this number plate is excluding GST and the cost of installing the plate, while in Maharashtra the rates are including GST and the cost of installing the plate.
Ten times the highest purchase of soybeans in the last fifteen years has been made this year. There is no space available in the warehouse to store the purchased soybeans. Therefore, if the media takes the side of the government while publishing a news, the misunderstandings that may arise from it will not spread , he also said on this occasion.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is our idol. If anyone speaks wrongly about him, we will not tolerate it , action will be taken against them, the Chief Minister also said on this occasion. We are the descendants of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and we know everything about him. We are working in the way shown by him , he also said on this occasion.

Will evaluate the initiative after 100 days

The 100 days of work implemented by the state government have received a huge response. In this regard, I , along with both the Deputy Chief Ministers, jointly reviewed. Many departments have done good work. Many offices have been cleaned and record rooms have been prepared.
About 7 thousand officers and employees from the state were present at the meeting held recently through video conferencing. After the completion of 100 days, this initiative will be evaluated by the Quality Council of India, a third-party organization of the central government.
Those who have done the best work will be selected from it. Also, benchmarks will be set for the assigned work and information will be collected from those who have performed below it, Mr. Fadnavis said.

We are working for the common man and to take the state forward – Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde

Deputy Chief Minister Shri. Shinde said that the state government is working for the development of the common man. Along with development works, welfare schemes are being implemented. We are working to bring good days to the common man and take the state forward.
The development of the state will double and the speed will quadruple. This will be reflected in the upcoming budget. In this session, the opposition parties should participate in the work and raise the questions of the citizens and constituencies. All their questions will be answered.

Ready to answer every question – Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar

Deputy Chief Minister Shri. Pawar said that the budget session will be conducted with a view to resolving the issues of the common man. In this session, the Governor’s address and supplementary demands will be discussed. Also, there will be a special discussion on two important issues. The state government is ready to answer every question.
