NITR student gets ₹1.2 cr annual package

Rourkela: Three students of National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela, secured job offers ranging between Rs 80 lakh per annum and Rs 1.20 crore per annum in the placements for the 2023-24 academic year, the institute said in a press release.
All three are BTech students. Two are from electronics and instrumentation engineering department — one of them getting the highest offer of Rs 1.20 crore — while the other is from computer science and engineering.
This year NITR has received more than 1,300 job offers in the placements. The average cost to company was Rs 12.89 lakh per annum, with BTech programme averaging Rs 14.05 LPA. This year, over 342 companies visited the campus, with nearly 40% being first-time recruiters. TNN
