NEET-UG Results: NEET-UG 2024 Results: Marks Revealed by Serial Numbers | Bhubaneswar News
Bhubaneswar: Following a Supreme Court order, National Testing Agency (NTA) on Saturday published city and centre-wise results of NEET-UG 2024.
NTA released the results of students who appeared from 149 centres from 27 cities in the state.
Instead of using the roll numbers of candidates, the agency mentioned marks against serial numbers to protect the identities of candidates. The agency has made the results available on its portal. It has also provided a helpline number for candidates who may face any difficulties in accessing their results.
“I saw the city/centre-wise results on the portal, but it is not like the original results published every year. This time there is no roll number of a candidate. It was published with the intention to find out if any unusual marks are mentioned in the results of any centre or city,” said Sampada Muduli, a NEET-UG rank holder.
A coaching centre representative said the NTA released the results to determine if candidates at allegedly compromised centres scored higher marks than those at other locations.
Bhubaneswar had the highest number of 25 centres in the state, followed by Cuttack with 13, Berhampur (10), Balasore (8), and Sambalpur, Balangir and Baripada with 7 centres each. Rourkela had five centres.
