Bhubaneswar: The CBI on Tuesday arrested Susanta Samanta from Bhubaneswar in connection with the NEET-UG paper leak case and produced him before a court in Patna.
The court granted CBI five-day custody for further investigation. Samanta is the fifth person to have been arrested in the NEET-UG paper leak case. Patna police had initially started probing the NEET-UG paper leak case and later CBI took over the investigation.
The remand of Susanta is expected to give CBI vital link to his role in the paper leak.“It will also be ascertained if he has partners who helped him in the crime,” a CBI officer said.TNN
