NDA govt to provide 12 lakh jobs by next year: Minister | Patna News – Times of India

Patna: A day after CM Nitish Kumar, through a communique, announced 1.99 lakh more govt jobs in the next three months and fill 5.17 lakh more vacancies before the 2025 assembly elections, state’s parliamentary affairs minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary on Tuesday reiterated to fulfil the NDA govt’s job and employment promises made in 2020 under its Saat Nischay-2 programme.
“The Nitish govt, in fact, is going to provide 12 lakh jobs instead of 10 lakh as promised in 2020, to create more than double the target of 10 lakh employment opportunities before the 2025 assembly elections. The govt is honestly working to achieve the target,” Choudhary said while addressing a press conference at JD(U) office here on Tuesday.
As per the list submitted to the CM by various departments recently, 41,414 posts were lying vacant in the state home department; 15,214 in revenue and land reforms dept; 11,784 in rural works dept; 10,844 in social welfare dept; 7,548 in minor irrigation dept; 6,688 in science & technology dept; 5,039 in labour resources and 4,814 in animal husbandry and fisheries dept, besides 3,015 vacancies in agriculture dept, 3,828 in building construction dept and 5,551 in panchayati raj dept.
“The chairman of Bihar State University Service Commission told me on Tuesday that the recruitment process of 550 assistant professors has been completed and sent to different universities for posting,” Choudhary said.
