Upon learning about this, 370 residents were communicated with and alerted by the executive committee to prepare for participation.Nearly 500 govt personnel, including 70 NCC cadets, participated to make the residents of the gated community aware of how they should react in the event of an attack by an enemy country. “It was a thrilling experience for all our residents. On Wednesday morning, officials first conducted rehearsals, and in the evening, it was done in a full-fledged manner. Now, we are well aware of the drill that should be followed in a crisis,” executive committee member and security in-charge M Anjaneyulu told TOI.Up to the fifth floor of the building, NCC cadets acted as victims to demonstrate how govt machinery and others would react and how the residents should cooperate. Fire tenders, ambulances, medical staff and policemen were used in the drill. Blaring fire tenders entered the premises after staged explosions of crackers and spread of fire. Water was sprayed on the building towers to show how the fire is doused. The residents were glued to the demonstration which lasted for more than an hour.
