Bhubaneswar: Chief minister Mohan Majhi on Wednesday participated in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ march that began from Lingaraj Temple and urged residents to display the national flag at their homes on the 78th Independence Day.
Thousands of people, including deputy chief minister Pravati Parida, chief secretary Manoj Ahuja, and senior administrative officers, attended the march.Similar marches were held across the state. “Our national flag is a symbol of pride and inspires patriotism among citizens. It also represents national unity, tolerance, and friendship. I request all people of Odisha to join this campaign. Everyone should hoist the national flag at home and upload their selfies on harghartiranga.com,” Majhi said.
On the same day, BJP state president Manmohan Samal and Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi participated in the Har Ghar Tiranga march held in Khurda, which started from the collector’s office and ended at BJB High School ground. “It is our responsibility to keep our national flag flying high, and the main objective is to foster nationalism and patriotism among people,” Samal said. Majhi launched the Har Ghar Tiranga 3.0 campaign at Lok Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar on Monday. The campaign encourages citizens to display the national flag from their residences between Aug 9 to Aug 15.
