Murder: Three Held For Man’s Murder In Khurda | Bhubaneswar News


Bhubaneswar: Police on Tuesday arrested three persons in connection with the murder of 28-year-old Shaikh Sajid at Mukund Prasad on the outskirts of Khurda town on Sunday afternoon.
The accused were identified as Biswajit Moharana alias Mikina (23) of Podasahi, and his two associates, Mukesh Sethi (26) and Ashis Patnaik (20). Both of them are from Khurda town.Personal enmity was the reason behind the murder, police said.
Biswajit had been harbouring a grudge against Sajid for some months. Police said they would find out why.
“Our priority was to arrest the killers. They have confessed to the crime. We will bring them on remand for further interrogation to uncover the nature of the personal enmity,” said Khurda SP Awinash Kumar.
The three were caught at Anda Bajpur cashew plantation which falls under the Sadar police station limits in Khurda district. On Sunday, Biswajit had called Sajid for a discussion. Upon arriving, Sajid found Mukesh and Ashis were also present.
“Sajid panicked. He started running towards Aktar garage, but the trio attacked him with swords, and Sajid could not escape,” police said.

The authorities continue their search for seven more suspects who remain at large.
