Patna: Two persons were arrested in connection with the murder of a 25-year-old youth from Khusrupur in Patna, whose body was found with bullet wounds in the head and jaw lying near the railway line at Veer village under the Dhanarua police station area in Patna district on December 8, police said on Tuesday.
The accused were identified as Rahul Kumar, a resident of Kasba under Shalimpur police station, and Rajeev Mahto of Phulwaria under Khusrupur police station area. Police said three other accused involved in the murder are absconding.
Masaurhi II sub-divisional police officer (SDPO), Kanhaiya Singh, said the victim, identified as Roshan Kumar, was found dead on the morning of December 8. “His father lodged a missing complaint at Khusrupur police station on December 7 when he did not return home. The accused, during the investigation, told police that they killed the youth over a love affair. Roshan was already married and had two kids. He was in an illicit relationship with a girl, who is the sister of one of the accused involved in the murder,” he said.
He added, “The police are further investigating the case and collecting evidence. Raids are on to nab the other accused involved in the murder.”
