Mumbai’s Tata Memorial Hospital receives bomb threat mail | Mumbai News – Times of India

MUMBAI: A mail threatening that a bomb had been placed on the premises of Tata Memorial Hospital was received by the hospital on Friday morning. The police and the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) carried out searches, but nothing was found. Tata Memorial Hospital is located in the Parel area of central Mumbai. Zonal DCP Ragasudha R said, “A hoax bomb mail threat was received at the Tata Memorial Hospital today morning. Nothing suspicious found. Further legal process is going on.” The mail was received at 9 am on Friday, and the police were immediately alerted. A police team and BDDS personnel arrived at the spot and carried out thorough searches, but nothing suspicious was found. It turned out to be a hoax mail. The police are now trying to trace the Internet Protocol (IP) address of the email sender.
