MUMBAI: Central Railway, Mumbai division, will operate a megablock on its suburban sections to carry out various engineering and maintenance works today. On the main line, the block will be on the up and down slow lines between CSMT Mumbai and Vidyavihar from 10.55 am to 3.55 pm.The up slow services departing Ghatkopar from 10.19 am to 3.52 pm will be diverted onto the up fast line between Vidyavihar and CSMT Mumbai stations. They will halt at Kurla, Sion, Matunga, Dadar, Parel, and Byculla stations.On the Harbour line, the block is being carried out on the CSMT – Chunabhatti/Bandra down Harbour line from 11.40 am to 4.40 pm and the Chunabhatti/Bandra – CSMT up Harbour line from 11.10 am to 4.10 pm. Special services will run between Panvel and Kurla (Platform No.8) during the block period. Harbour line passengers are permitted to travel via the main line and Western Railway until 6 pm during the block period.“These maintenance megablocks are essential for infrastructure upkeep and safety. Passengers are requested to bear with the railway administration for the inconvenience caused,” said CR Chief Spokesperson Swapnil Nila.
