Mumbai Fire: Fire breaks out on 42nd floor of south Mumbai’s Salsette high rise building | Mumbai News – The Times of India

NEW DELHI: A fire broke out on the 42nd floor of a highrise in the Byculla area of south Mumbai on Friday morning, officials said.
There was no report of casualty in the blaze that erupted around 10.45 am in a residential property in one of the twin buildings of Salette 27 on Babasaheb Ambedkar Road, an official from the fire brigade said.

The official confirmed that fire engines were deployed at the location, with firefighting efforts actively in progress.
Various emergency response teams, including BEST, police, 108 ambulance services, and other agencies, were promptly dispatched to the scene.

The source of the fire remains under investigation.
Dense black smoke could be seen from a distance, rising from the building’s partial glass facade.
