MUMBAI: A lady dentist waiting inside her compound of the dispensary for an Ola cab died after an Omni van carrying famous Guru Kripa’s samosas accidentally hit the gate, and the gate fell on her near Shanmukhanandan Hall at King’s Circle on Friday evening.
A woman dentist, identified as Dr. Meghali, and her sister, Subra, were waiting for an Uber car inside the closed iron gate of the Rugmalaya compound in front of Shalini Bhavan, Shanmukhanand Charitable Community Hospital, when a Maruti Omni van driver lost control and hit the gate.The gate fell on Dr. Meghali, who was rushed to Sion Hospital where she died. Sion police have arrested the Omni driver, Suresh Harisingh Bogti, 32, under IPC 304 for causing death due to negligence and rash driving. The driver said he was carrying famous samosas from Guru Kripa Hotel.
