Western Railway will conduct a 35-hour major block starting Saturday at 1 pm for re-girdering work on Bridge No. 61 between Kandivali and Borivali stations

MUMBAI: Western Railway is carrying out the re-girdering work on Bridge No. 61 between Kandivali and Borivali stations, for which a major block of 35 hours will be undertaken from 1 pm on Saturday to Sunday midnight.
The block will affect the 5th line, the Carshed line, and the Kandivali Traffic Yard line.

During the block period, suburban services and Mail/Express trains running on the 5th line will be diverted to the fast lines.
Additionally, a few Mail/Express trains will be affected, while some suburban services will remain cancelled.
On Sunday, around 90 suburban services will be cancelled, an official said.
