Gaya: Magadh University Syndicate on Wednesday approved affiliation for 43 colleges to conduct academic activities across various courses. This includes six pharmacy colleges, four LLB programs and 33 colleges offering courses up to graduation. Permanent affiliation was granted to 16 of these colleges.
Presided over by vice-chancellor Shashi Pratap Shahi, the meeting also endorsed the promotion committee’s recommendations for faculty promotions in geography, English, and botany.Decisions from previous meetings of the syndicate, academic council, finance committee, and examination committee were ratified.
Earlier, the academic council sanctioned the establishment of a new department for courses in artificial intelligence (AI). These proposals will now advance to the senate and subsequently to the state govt’s higher education department for final approval.
Simultaneously, dean of students’ welfare Brajesh Kumar Rai issued a notification reopening the MU portal from Thursday until July 19, allowing students to apply online for admission to various post-graduate courses for the 2023-25 academic session at affiliated colleges.
