MoU signed for starting new courses

Patna: Aryabhatta Knowledge University (AKU) on Tuesday inked an MoU with the Bihar State Minorities Financial Corporation (BSMFC) for launching new courses for minority students. The MoU was signed by AKU registrar Ramji Singh and BSMFC managing director Deewan Zaffar Hussain in the presence of officials and faculty members.
Speaking on the occasion, AKU vice-chancellor (VC) Sharad Kumar Yadav hailed the agreement made under the Mukhyamantri Shram Shakti Yojana and said that it would pave the way for the launch of two certificate courses in photography and filmmaking.
“These short-term courses would be conducted under the guidance of the Bihar Skill Development Mission. Students from minority communities will benefit directly from these courses,” he said.
“The university has also been making efforts to implement the various welfare programmes launched by the state govt,” Yadav said.
The faculty in charge of AKU’s school of journalism and mass communications Manisha Prakash, BSMFC’s assistant director Nilima Sahu and block minority welfare officer Alka Kumari also attended the meeting.
