CM reviews mines dept work

Bhubaneswar: Chief minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday reviewed working of steel and mines department. He emphasised efficient management of mines to increase production for mining-based industries. He said steps should be taken to increase mining revenue. To prevent illegal mining and theft of minerals, the chief minister advised strengthening enforcement measures.He suggested granting more leases in minor minerals sector, read a statement from the CMO. The state’s identified geological potential area is 55,003 square kilometers. tnn
