Modi’s Strategic Session to Fortify BJP Presence in Odisha | Bhubaneswar News

Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a three-hour-long interactive session with BJP MPs and MLAs at the party’s state headquarters, here on Friday, offering strategic guidance on strengthening the party’s presence in Odisha.
The PM, who arrived at the BJP office at 6:30 pm, engaged in two rounds of discussions — an hour-long session in the conference hall followed by an informal dinner meeting on the lawns.
“Went to the @BJP4Odisha HQ and interacted with party leaders and Karyakartas. We discussed how to keep strengthening the party across the state and ways to keep working towards improving the lives of people,” Modi posted on X.
During the meeting, Modi shared insights from BJP’s successful governance model in Gujarat, emphasising the importance of effective scheme implementation to maintain public trust. He cautioned leaders against getting involved in administrative matters like transfers and postings, which he said could diminish their popularity.
The PM also highlighted the significance of upcoming milestones, including Odisha’s centenary year in 2036 and India’s 100 years of independence in 2047, setting strategic goals for the party.
State BJP president Manmohan Samal described the interaction as informal and family-like. “It was a very informal interaction like in a family in a relaxed mood,” Samal said. BJP MLA Sidhant Mohapatra added that the PM provided guidance on public conduct for political leaders.
The meeting, which saw participation from key party functionaries, focused on strengthening BJP’s grassroots presence in Odisha while maintaining a people-centric approach to governance.
