Balasore: Miscreants looted valuables from a Jagannath Temple in Champu village under Soro police limits in Balasore district Wednesday night. Among the looted items are silver crowns of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and goddess Subhadra, silver flute of the Radha-Krishna idol, cash from the donation box and some gold items, police sources said.
The incident came to light on Thursday morning when the priest arrived at the temple to perform the morning rituals. Upon discovering the temple ransacked and robbed, the priest informed police and lodged a complaint at Soro police station.
