Minor among 2 killed in car-bike collision | Patna News – Times of India
Patna: Two persons, including a minor boy, were killed, while another 16-year-old sustained injuries late Tuesday after the bike they were travelling on collided with an unknown speeding vehicle on National Highway 30 near Supanchak village in Fatuha.
According to the police, the incident occurred when the trio was on their way home to Jethuli village from Bakhtiyarpur after attending Surya’s birthday party.
“The deceased have been identified as Surya Kumar (17) and Vivek Kumar (18). The injured – Gautam Kumar – is undergoing treatment at the Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH),” Fatuha SHO Rupak Kumar Ambuj said.
As they were approaching Supanchak village on NH-30, their bike collided with a speeding vehicle, he said, adding, “All three fell on the road. Surya and Vivek died on the spot. A crowd gathered at the scene. The incident was reported to the Fatuha police station. The police arrived at the scene, took possession of the bodies, and sent them to PMCH for post-mortem. Meanwhile, Gautam was hurriedly sent to PMCH for treatment.”
The SHO said that the trio went to a roadside dhaba (restaurant) in Bakhtiyarpur to celebrate Surya’s birthday. “The bodies have been handed over to the families after autopsy. We are trying to identify the vehicle which had collided with their bike. Further action is being taken in the matter,” added the SHO.
