Jharsuguda: Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan took part in a programme to observe the third death anniversary of former Brajarajnagar MLA Kishore Kumar Mohanty in Jharsuguda on Monday.
In his address, Pradhan remembered Mohanty as a leader known for his simplicity and dedication to public service. “Kishore Da earned a special place in the hearts of Odisha‘s people, especially those from Jharsuguda, through his warmth and accessibility,” said Pradhan.
Reflecting on their shared political journey, Pradhan recalled their time together in the assembly in 2000 and their concurrent service when he was MP from Deogarh and Mohanty represented Jharsuguda as an MLA in 2004.
“Despite adverse circumstances, we both contested elections. His policies and ideals continue to inspire public representatives like us,” Pradhan remarked while paying floral tribute to Mohanty’s portrait.
