Met predicts rain in most parts of Bihar on Dec 28 | Patna News – Times of India



Patna: Met office at Patna on Thursday predicted rain in most parts of the state, including Patna, on December 28, while yellow warning was issued for thunderstorm/lightning over south-western parts on the day.
“There is the possibility of rain at one or two places in north-western part comprising — West Champaran, Siwan, Saran, East Champaran, and Gopalganj districts, while in south-central region consisting of Patna, Gaya, Nalanda, Sheikhpura, Begusarai, Lakhisarai, Nawada, Jehanabad. The south-eastern areas of Bhagalpur, Banka, Munger, Khagaria and Jamui may witness rain at some places on December 28,” said the weather bulletin on Thursday. Buxur, Bhojpur, Rohtas, Bhabhua, Aurangabad and Arwal falling in south-western Bihar are also likely to receive rain at “few places” on the day.
Districts across south-western region may experience rains at one or two places even on Friday, and those in the south-eastern parts are also expected to receive slight showers on December 29 as well, as per the weather report. All the other places of the state were predicted to remain dry for rest of the week.
“Thunderstorm/lightning may occur at one or two places over the south-western parts of the state on December 28,” the report added. No warning related to fog or mist in any part of the state in the coming days was issued on Thursday.
The weathermen further predicted no major change in temperature of the region in the coming four days. However, a fall of 2-3°C was expected henceforth. The minimum temperature of 9.5°C was recorded at Pusa (Samastipur) and Agwanpur (Saharsa) on Thursday.
