Mentally unstable man murders aunt | Bhubaneswar News

Sambalpur: A 52-year-old destitute woman was killed by her nephew on Thursday for allegedly misarranging his medicines, triggering his suspected Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), in the town area under Bargarh police station limits.
The deceased has been identified as Subhasini Seth. Police detained the 37-year-old accused, who confessed to the crime but did not reveal his name. He first attacked his aunt with a steel bangle, followed by a hammer. Police seized the weapons and sent the body of the woman for postmortem.
The boy was raised by her aunt from childhood. They were living together in one room.
Bargarh SDPO Padarbinda Tripathy told TOI, “The reason for the murder is complex. As per his statement, he got angry as he kept his medicines in order, but his aunt misarranged them. We have kept the nephew for interrogation, whose mental condition does not seem to be sound.”
