Patna: A mentally unstable person was beaten to death at a village in Hathidah police station area of Patna district early Wednesday morning.The incident took place when he entered his neighbour’s house. The local sarpanch was informed about the incident by the family members of the house where the incident took place. The sarpanch immediately informed the police about it.Two people were arrested in this regard, police said.The deceased was identified as Mohammad Bullet (35), a resident of Dariyapur village under Hathidah police station area. He entered the house of Mohammad Sharif.Hathidah SHO, Dinesh Kumar Singh, said: “The police team promptly arrived at the scene. The deceased’s body had signs of injuries. The police sent the body for postmortem to the sub-divisional hospital in Barh. A forensic team was also called to probe the case. Initial investigations suggest it is a case of murder following an assault.”Singh stated that an FIR was registered against three people, including Mohammad Sharif, his son, Gulzar Hussain alias Mohammad Aarif, and daughter-in-law Khusboo Khatun.
