Bhubaneswar: State govt on Monday reinforced its commitment to developing smart and sustainable cities during a meeting focusing on strengthening urban local bodies (ULBs) to implement high-impact projects under the ‘Viksit Odisha@2036‘ vision.
During the 21st dashboard meeting of housing and urban development department, principal secretary Usha Padhee emphasised the crucial role of ULBs in executing transformative projects. The meeting outlined strategies to enhance the operational capabilities of the local bodies, ensuring effective project implementation within designated time frames. A key directive to ULBs was to submit weekly progress reports, establishing a robust monitoring mechanism for project execution. “Regular updates will help maintain momentum and ensure accountability in project implementation,” said a senior official.TNN
