Medical aspirant from Bihar kills himself; 12th case in Kota this year | Jaipur News – Times of India
KOTA: A 17-year-old from Bihar‘s Bhagalpur district, who was preparing for NEET-UG at a coaching institute in Kota, died by suicide in Kota on Thursday. This is the 12th case of suicide by a coaching student this year in Kota, where 26 students had taken the extreme step in 2023. Hrishit Kumar Agrawal, a class XII student, lived in a rented room on the fourth floor of a building in Dadabari area, where 7-8 other coaching students also lived in separate rooms, ASI Shambhu Dayal said.
Police rushed to the spot after being informed by other students that Hrishit was not opening the door of his room even after repeated knocking. Cops broke open the door around 1pm and found him dead.
Although the autopsy has not yet been conducted, as police are awaiting the parents’ arrival, the ASI said it appeared the teen had died a day earlier. Police have informed his parents, both reportedly in govt jobs and living in separate places. Circle inspector Naresh Kumar Meena said no suicide note was found and the reason behind Hrishit taking his own life was yet to be ascertained.
