Final state merit list for MBBS counselling to be out on Aug 20

Bhubaneswar: Govt will publish the final state merit list of registered candidates who want to take part in medical counselling on Aug 20. Domicile candidates are eligible for the state quota MBBS and BDS seats. Odisha has more than 2,400 medical seats.
Registration and submitting of online application for medical counselling has started and it will continue till Wednesday.The OJEE authorities will allot only 85% of medical seats for counselling leaving the rest 15% to the all-India quota. Centre holds counselling for the all-India quota seats.
SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack, and MKCG Medical College and Hospital, Berhampur, have 250 MBBS seats each, while Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Education and Research (Vimsar), Burla, has 200 seats. The medical colleges at Koraput and Baripada have 125 MBBS seats each, while those at Balangir, Balasore, Puri, Sundargarh, Keonjhar and Bhawanipatna (Kalahandi) have 100 seats each.
Additionally, three private medical colleges have 350 MBBS seats, and two deemed-to-be universities in Bhubaneswar have 250 each. If the Govt Medical College, Jajpur receives permission for 100 seats this year, the total number of seats will increase to 2,500. OJEE will conduct counselling for the 12 govt and three private medical colleges in the state.

Candidates who registered could visit the official website, wbjeeb.nic.in, and access the results by entering their Roll Number, password, and security pin. The process to check seat allotment involved visiting the official site, following specific navigation steps, and verifying the results online.
