Matric paper evaluation begins across 51 centres in Odisha | Bhubaneswar News

Cuttack: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) commenced the evaluation of Class X (matric) examination papers on Wednesday across 51 designated centres in the state.
Over 12,300 teachers have been deployed for the massive assessment exercise, with 11,800 primary evaluators and additional reserve evaluators at each centre to handle contingencies, if any.
“We have implemented a robust evaluation system with experienced teachers and strong backup support to ensure smooth operations,” BSE president Srikant Tarai said. He added that teachers have received comprehensive briefing on evaluation parameters and guidelines to maintain consistency in grading.
According to BSE guidelines, evaluators are restricted to assessing 100 answer scripts per day, with each teacher focusing on a single answer sheet to maintain evaluation standards. The board has equipped all evaluation centers with necessary facilities to prevent disruptions during the assessment process.
More than five lakh students appeared for the Class X examinations, which concluded on March 6. The board expects to declare the results in the first week of May, as previously announced.
