Massive Ganja Seizure at Chennai Central Railway Station by NCB | Chennai News – Times of India

CHENNAI: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Chennai, seized six kg of ganja during a surprise check at Chennai Central Railway Station on Saturday. The operation, carried out with the assistance of the NarK9 dog squad, was part of the agency’s regular enforcement efforts to detect and disrupt narcotics smuggling through public transport hubs.The seizure occurred when a suspect, upon noticing the NCB team and NarK9s, abandoned a bag and fled the scene. A search of the bag led to the recovery of the contraband. The seized narcotics were immediately handed over to C3 Police Station, Chennai, for registration of an FIR. Further investigation is currently in progress. Police suspect that the contraband was smuggled from Odisha and Andhra Pradesh to meet the demand in Chennai.NCB Chennai calls upon all citizens to join this national mission.
