Rourkela: A married man was arrested in Sundargarh district on Tuesday night for raping another woman. The accused was identified as Rameswar Kumbhar (32).
Police said Rameswar had a relationship with a 23-year-old girl on the pretext of marriage. After spending time with her for 10 days outside the area where they lived, he refused to marry her.
The survivor lodged an FIR against Rameswar on Monday evening for raping her. Police registered a case and arrested the accused on Tuesday night. “We are further investigating the case,” said inspector Manoranjan Kumbhar.
