Koraput: A Maoist cadre from Chhattisgarh, who had a cash reward of Rs 2 lakh on his head, surrendered before the police in Malkangiri district on Wednesday.
The rebel was identified as Mukesh Korsa alias Suryam, a resident of Silger village in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district. According to sources, he had been involved with the Maoists for several years.Korsa cited his disillusionment with the organisation as his reason for surrendering. tnn
