Man shot dead by niece’s male friend in Ahmedabad | Patna News – Times of India

Patna: A 52-year-old man was allegedly shot dead by a male friend of his niece for opposing their relationship at a village in Aurangabad district in the wee hours of Wednesday. The incident came to light when the family members found the body of the victim lying in the room in the morning.
Police said the victim was sleeping in the open outside his house when was shot dead around 1.30am.His wife woke up upon hearing the gunshot and started screaming. Sadar SDPO II Amit Kumar, Dhibra SHO Ritesh Kumar Upadhyay and other police officers reached the site and questioned the family members.
The SDPO said the victim’s niece was in a relationship with a youth from the same village. “The accused, identified by the victim’s wife, has fled the village. Raids are on to arrest him,” he added.
