Man practicing ‘black magic’ sexually assaults woman, molests 2 minors; arrested – Times of India
Mumbai: A 43-year-old man who claimed to practice black magic was arrested by the Aarey Police for sexually assaulting a 37-year-old woman over five years and molesting her two minor daughters. The accused is an auto driver. He has been booked under provisions of The Maharashtra Prevention and Eradication of Human Sacrifice and other Inhuman, Evil and Aghori Practices and Black Magic Act and under Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita.
The 34-year-old complainant and her family are pavement dwellers. They got acquainted with the accused, Rajaram Yadav, in 2020. The complainant’s family used to suffer from severe headaches. Yadav performed some rituals for “curing” his headaches. He sexually assaulted the complainant repeatedly and threatened to kill her entire family if she resisted. He also took her minor daughters into the forest, undressed them and molested them. On April 14, the complainant approaced the Aarey police with a complaint.
Yadav was trying to flee when a police team apprehended him on Wednesday.
