Man kills wife with arrow over illicit affair whiff | Bhubaneswar News
Keonjhar: A 45-year-old woman died after she was hit with an arrow allegedly shot by her husband following a domestic dispute at Handibhanga village in the district on Wednesday night.
Dasara Munda (50) suspected his wife Chani Munda was having an extramarital affair and shot her with an arrow during an altercation.
According to the police, the arrow pierced Chani’s chest, causing severe bleeding. She was taken to Jhumpura Community Health Centre by her husband and family members, where she died during treatment.
“The accused has been detained for further investigation,” said Shib Shankar Alda, the investigating officer at Bamebari police station. Police have seized the body and sent it to Keonjhar district headquarters hospital for post-mortem examination.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the couple had frequent quarrels over the alleged extramarital affair. A case has been registered at Bamebari police station and further investigation is underway.
