Man kills wife, daughter before suicide’ school day saves son – The Times of India

Vasai: A 52-year-old man killed his wife (42), who was suffering from cancer, and his 5-yr-old specially abled daughter before committing suicide by hanging in their rented flat in Virar. Police retrieved their bodies and sent them for postmortem after the neighbours filed a missing complaint.
The deceased couple, Udaykumar Kajwa and wife Veena, also have a son studying in Class 6, who escaped the same fate as he had gone to school. On Feb 25 afternoon, when the boy returned home, he knocked on the door of his house repeatedly but there was no response. He then went to the neighbours, assuming everyone must have gone out. Later in the evening when no one returned or answered the door, society members approached police who took down a missing complaint, said a source. The boy spent the night at the neighbours home. On Feb 26, cops entered the flat and found the three bodies.
