Man killed by wife, son over domestic dispute

Balasore: A man was allegedly killed by his wife and son over a domestic feud in Joragadia village under Bhadrak rural police station limits in Bhadrak district on Wednesday night. The incident came to light on Thursday when the mutilated body of the man was found from the family’s house.
Sanghamitra Mohanty, additional inspector in-charge of Bhadrak rural police station, said that a preliminary investigation indicates the man was beaten to death.

“A case has been registered in this connection and the body was sent for a postmortem examination. A manhunt has been launched to nab his wife and son, who are on the run”, Mohanty added.
The deceased was identified as Satyasundar Nayak (50). Locals found his body lying in a pool of blood with grievous injury marks all over his body.
According to sources, Satyasundar lived with his wife and son, the only two other members of his family. He was involved in a long-standing domestic dispute with his wife, and the two frequently got into heated altercations. Following the murder, the victim’s wife and son reportedly locked the room from outside and fled the village to an undisclosed location.
Amulya Nayak, a friend of the deceased, said, “We found him with his hands and legs broken. It is clear that he was attacked and murdered.”
