Man held for threatening trio with pistol | Bhubaneswar News

Rourkela: A 31-year-old man was arrested on Thursday night for allegedly threatening three individuals at gunpoint in Purunapani area of Sundargarh district the earlier evening.
The accused, identified as Sudhir Badaik, reportedly brandished a pistol at Kartik Singh (32) and his friends Dharmendra Lugun (27) and Priluchand Lugun (28), all three drivers, on Wednesday evening outside Madan Sahu’s shop in Purunapani.
According to police reports, the incident occurred when Badaik arrived on his motorcycle and demanded Singh to fetch him water. When Singh refused, Badaik allegedly pulled out a pistol from his pocket and threatened to kill all three men, causing them to flee the spot in fear.
“We have arrested the accused for threatening to kill three men at gunpoint. Both the pistol and motorcycle used in the crime have been seized,” said Surendra Naik, inspector in-charge of Hatibari police station.
The arrest came after Singh filed a formal complaint at Hatibari police station. Police have registered a case and further investigation is underway.
