Bengaluru: An electrician was arrested in Varthur Friday on charges of stabbing his 34-year-old friend to death over a suspected affair with his wife. The victim is Kishore Kumar, a cabbie from Chitradurga, and the accused, Satish Reddy.
A bachelor, Kumar would visit Reddy’s house whenever he came to the city on duty, police said. “The two were friends, but for some reason, Reddy started suspecting Kumar of having an affair with his wife,” a police officer said. On Friday evening, Reddy spotted Kumar near his house and fought with him.
In a fit or rage, Reddy repeatedly stabbed Kumar near an under-construction building. Shocked passersby called the police control room. By the time a Hoysala reached the spot, Kumar was dead by then, the officer said.
