Man disguised as woman enters Bangalore University hostel | Bengaluru News

Bengaluru: A man in his 20s entered the women’s hostel at Bangalore University‘s Jnanabharathi campus on Thursday evening. A few hostel inmates alerted the hostel management, who subsequently informed police.
It is learnt that he is from Kolar and visited the hostel dressed in women’s clothes to meet his cousin.
Jnanabharathi police maintain that they released the youth after questioning, as the management or the inmates didn’t file a complaint. A few students alleged that the youth was wearing a burkha, but the police and the hostel in-charge maintained this wasn’t the case.
The youth was caught by the inmates of Ramabai Girls Hostel on campus around 7pm. When TOI contacted the hostel in-charge, he said there is no warden for the hostel. A senior university officer, meanwhile, maintained that there was a woman warden and she was discharged from her duties after Thursday’s incident. He also claimed that it was the cops who let off the youth.
