Mumbai: A 23-year-old cinematographer faced legal action from Powai police for unauthorised drone operation on Sunday. Police filed charges against AR Thakur who said he was conducting a test flight of his drone.According to Thakur’s statement, he was examining his drone that had malfunctioned earlier. He explained to the police that after recently acquiring the drone, he went to his building’s terrace at midnight on Sunday for testing when the device experienced technical issues and crashed. Acting on a tip-off, constable Chintaman Belkar, while on night patrol, investigated the incident after which Thakur was booked. tnn
