Patna: Police on Friday cracked the murder case of 4-year-old Anushka, who was shot on June 1 while watching reels with her father. Anushka’s father, Hariom, was arrested in connection with the incident at Patel Colony, Ram Jaipal Nagar under Rupaspur police station.
Danapur ASP Diksha said Hariom has confessed to the crime, claiming he accidentally fired the shot while watching arms reels on his cellphone with his daughter.“Initially, Hariom misled police by alleging unknown assailants shot his daughter at their doorstep. However, investigation revealed his culpability. Police recovered two magazines and four cartridges. However, the pistol remains missing,” the ASP said.
