Man abducted from restaurant, found dead near Tumakuru | Bengaluru News

Bengaluru: A 35-year-old businessman was abducted late Sunday night from a restaurant in Nelamangala, Bengaluru Rural district, and later found murdered near Tumakuru.
The victim, C Dileep, a resident of Solur, ran a transport business in Dobbaspet. He was separated from his wife and had been living with another woman, who had distanced herself from her husband. According to preliminary investigation, Dileep had gone to the restaurant with this woman when the incident took place. Police sources said a gang entered the restaurant, headed straight to Dileep’s table, and, threatening him with a machete, forced him outside before abducting him. Restaurant patrons witnessed the abduction but were unable to intervene.
Dileep’s body — bearing multiple hack injuries — was found near the outskirts of Tumakuru Monday morning by passersby, who alerted the authorities.
Police revealed that Dileep had been receiving threats over his relationship with the woman he was living with. He had two minor sons from his marriage, while his partner also had two children from a previous marriage. Investigators noted that individuals connected to the woman’s estranged husband had previously confronted Dileep.
